Returning Battlefield player

Hi, I sold my playstation a while ago after I've had enough of 2042 and its terrible design choices. Managed to get another cheap PS5 and a copy of the game on the way. I'm a bit worried as the game seems to have been COD-ified a bit with its smaller maps etc.

Any tips for new starters? Which weapon to grind, any good portal training/ aiming maps? I usually play vehicles/ infantry 50/50, no Recon as I ain't no bush lover.

    1. Go medic so you can heal yourself, because no other player is going to do it 🤣 those CODs just run straight past you. Medic LMGs are good.
    2. M4 carbine is fast and accurate. QBZ-192 carbine has almost no recoil. Grind a bit for the larger mags.
    3. If all else fails, pick an SMG and go hip-fire.
    4. Keep with the Flash hider until you get a Suppressor unlock. Fit red or green laser based on your play style. Forward vertical grip is a must. Most unlocks are don't change things that much, so don't get bent out of shape chasing them once you have the basics.
    5. Be the last through the door or around the corner, camping is like it was on BF5.
    6. "DXS4" test server has all the vehicles for practice.
