Check out this info page about how to set up secure boot:

Why do you fools keep complaining about secure boot? Like I get you could be dual booting, but is it REALLY that hard to just enroll your os's keys? Like why on earth is running a script that hard if you are dual booting? If you are not dual booting, why do you care?

I'll definitely say it 100% put me off from the game. My PC launches with CSM, but supports UEFI. But, in order to launch UEFI in order to have Secure Boot on, I'd need to switch my SSD and HDD to GPT format from MBR.
Just doing all that ain't worth it for an anti-cheat that isn't gonna work anyways. I'll take my money and time elsewhere. - Sklayson7 months agoRising Newcomer
For several days now, the game has not been launching, complaining about some software. Initially, I wanted to compile the shaders before the beta and check the graphics settings (I saw that it was launching for others), but an error appeared. Beta testing has now begun, and before that, the game was updated, and I hoped that this would solve the problem, but it still remains. I closed all the processes that I could. The error is still there. And no, it's not Secure Boot. I had an error related to it earlier, and it clearly stated that Secure Boot needed to be enabled. I did that, then double-checked with msinfo32, launched the game, and that error disappeared, but now I have this one. I updated the video card drivers. I reinstalled EA Anticheat. I also tried installing the game both on Steam and on the EA App.

No other game I've EVER played has had this requirement. I'm not tech illiterate but having to root around in my BIOS to change a setting on my own computer to satisfy an anti-cheat that's going to get cracked within the first week or two of launch is just completely ridiculous.
I can't even access my BIOS currently due to another issue so I can't even play the game. This requirement is completely unnecessary.

Rest assured that other games do require secure boot (for anti-cheat reasons), such as CoD, Fortnite and others. So even though you haven't played something that requires it, it is normal and is growing in popularity for game developers to require.
If you can't access your BIOS, then that's something you should get looked at. If it's password locked, check with your administrator, or if you don't know the hotkey for it, just check your motherboard manufacturer's instruction manual. It's actually the standard to turn Secure Boot on after installing Windows 11 (as installing requires Setup mode, and after installing, you should enroll for keys and turn on Secure Boot). If this wasn't done, then whomever installed your Windows, didn't do it properly. - ExEShredder7 months agoNew Rookie
The only Thing here i can see is, that you have no clue what you are talking about. Do you know what happens if you want to enable these Things under win 10? Would you know how good my Programs i use for work run under win 11? No, i would think not. It also does NOT State that Secure Boot is required in "EA" App Shop.
You can: Destroy Hardware, Wreck your OS or Wreck your mainboard/Brick it. - ExEShredder7 months agoNew Rookie
