Separate REDSEC Into Its Own Menu (Critical UI/UX Fix)
Right now, Battlefield 6’s menu is confusing because BF6 modes and REDSEC (BR) modes are mixed together. Battle Royale plays completely differently from core Battlefield—different loadouts, different controls, different skins—yet everything is combined under the same tabs. It makes the whole UI feel messy and players miss important modes entirely.
Main Problems With the Current Setup
- BF6 + REDSEC modes are mixed together.
The layout looks cluttered and unintuitive. Modes don’t feel grouped by gameplay type. - BR Initiation is hidden.
It’s a smaller, bot-filled practice BR mode, yet it’s tucked away under Training Grounds. Most players don’t know it exists because of where it’s placed in the menu. - Loadouts and skins aren’t separated.
Switching between BF6 and REDSEC forces players to constantly re-do: - Favorite Loadouts
- Attachments
- Operator skins
- Featured modes mixed in with everything else adds more clutter.
- Challenges overlap and force players into modes they don’t want to play.
Proposed Fix: Give REDSEC Its Own Main Menu Tab
Add a top-level tab: BF6 | REDSEC
This instantly organizes the entire experience.
REDSEC Tab Could Include:
- Solo
- Duo
- Quads
- Third-Party
- Half Size
- Gauntlet
- Any other BR-specific limited-time modes
This makes REDSEC feel like a fully supported mode with room to expand.
Separate Loadouts & Skins
Because BF6 and REDSEC use completely different gameplay systems, they need completely separate:
- Loadout menus
- Attachments
- Operator skins
- Controls
Also, since both factions can be used in REDSEC, let players pre-select their BR operator skin per class so they don’t need to swap it every single time they launch BR.
Challenges Split Between BF6 + REDSEC
Instead of forcing everyone to do BR for weekly tokens, split challenges evenly with lower rewards:
Example:
- BF6 Weekly: Play 4–5 games of any BF6 mode → 2-3 Tokens
- REDSEC Weekly: Play 4–5 games of REDSEC/BR/Gauntlet → 2-3 Tokens
Total weekly reward stays the same as what we're getting right now—you’re just giving players the freedom to earn it in the mode they enjoy.
Lower individual rewards are fine as long as they’re balanced and fair across both tabs.
Why This Matters
This change will:
- Clean up the UI
- Make both modes easier to understand
- Reduce frustration from constant loadout/skin switching
- Increase visibility for REDSEC modes
- Give players freedom to play what they prefer (challenge specific)
- Allow better long-term expansion of BR & BF6 modes
The current menu layout hides content and creates needless friction. Splitting BF6 and REDSEC into two main tabs fixes all of this cleanly.
