Servers need a ping limit

If you really care about netcode, hitreg and fair play, you need to kick players with extreme ping. Players are using VPN and joining games outside their region with 150+ ping; Chinese players on European servers for example. This is completely unacceptable.
These players are severely delayed and should not hit pretty much anything, but instead the lag compensation awards them kills on the expense of legit players who play in their OWN region. There is no competitiveness at all with a system like this. The whole match becomes a complete lottery when it comes to kills when a player with extreme ping enters it. This needs to be addressed.
A ping limit closer to 100 would be acceptable. Acceptable, not perfect. This way it still wouldn't be too punishing for people with a more unstable connection.

You'd think that's the case, but sometimes it's not about the location of the servers. Sometimes people get bad ping because the infrastructure that provides the internet is unreliable.

  • Most of those russian and chinese named players just seem cheaty Western people....if you open their profile and see their other accounts

They could easily have proper ping limits if they actually had servers everywhere where they sell the game, a multiplayer game. Instead they seem to pick the lottery option.

  • This is a complicated problem, because if you're in a very populated region like the EU, or the coastline regions of the US, you'll end up with a pretty decent ping. Other regions may struggle with getting good connections to their server and a ping of 200+ is completely normal there. Some users have issues with getting a good ping to servers in their own region, because of ISP routing issues.

So DICE needs to be very careful when applying ping limits, or you end up preventing some people from playing the game. Ideally you'd have region locks, but those unfortunately don't work when the user is using a VPN.

  • some people dont use them at all like me for example i live in New Zealand i play at like 150-200 ping on USA servers sometimes higher on servers in different countries
