Simple suggestion to make the M417 used more
As we're all fairly well aware. Seeing the M417 used is a rare sight in BF6.
But this might be because of controllability issues or something akin to it, and thus people feel it isn't "rewarding enough to use", but this is not a post about suggesting buffing it and reducing the recoil and such. Quite the contrary, I think its control-behavior is exactly where it should be. The issue is rather how it doesn't feel "good enough at range" to justify the rest of it.
So what am I suggesting then to account for it being less used?
Quite simple; give it synthetic tip ammo, so it keeps the 2-shot headshot kill capability out to bit further ranges. Optimally it would also get that 2nd stage damage range extended a bit further than just 20m (when the 16" short barrel M39 gets 41 base damage and can 2-shot at any range and often wins in a close range showdown with the M417 even), which is a bit silly short for a gun that's 7.62x51mm, because the 417 in reality is capable to "reach out and touch" at considerably further ranges than even practical to shoot at in most cases.
But I suggest at least just giving it synthetic tip ammo to at the very least make it capable of being tailored to have a better use if people are willing to use it for such, without making it imbalanced in any other fashion.
