Solo/co op pve experience

I’m writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the recent changes to Battlefield 6’s Portal mode that removed Weapon Mastery XP progression. This change has taken away the main reason I purchased and enjoyed the game. When I paid $70 for Battlefield 6, Portal mode was advertised as a full, customizable experience with progression included. I chose to play Portal because I prefer a relaxed, creative environment instead of competitive PvP matches. Removing XP progression from Portal essentially makes the mode pointless for players like me who don’t want to play standard multiplayer. It feels unfair and misleading to change the core functionality of a paid product after purchase especially one that was marketed with these features. I strongly urge EA to reconsider this decision and restore full XP and Mastery progression to Portal mode, I hope EA values the time and money from this side of its player community and will take immediate steps to address this issue.

EA doesn't care 2 bits about your feelings. They got your money and your outside the refund period most likely. Welcome to the world that thousands of us got dropped into.

I agree that they should implement solo/co-op bot-filled mission with full xp with 1 to 4 players. I  liked it in Battlefield 5 and Battlefield 2042. I am sure they can add it to this game as well ... eventually.

As far as all the tantrum-driven posts, I should direct you to the game tonight, Friday night, and there's a queue to log on. That's not a sign of a failing game. In fact, when I start playing multiplayer tonight, it will be chock-full of players. Really not sure why so many people in this forum are complaining about this excellent Battlefield game.

The game is fine. It is a multiplayer game and you should realize that first and foremost. If you want a PVE experience, I totally understand that as well. But I do think that you will miss out on the fun of multiplayer experience.

I pre-ordered the game and spent $99 on the Phantom Edition, played both open beta weekends, and I think my money was well spent! But, any complaints? Sure, some, but I believe that in time they will make the changes we want ... balanced with the changes they want. That's usually the way game development works anyway.

And, by the way, in my game inbox there's a reminder that tonight is: FRIDAY NIGHT BATTLEFIELD!

    Don't miss it!

I agree 100%. Just face it! WE GOT SCAMMED!!!

  • Hopefully you either bought it through Steam who are much more open to our plight. Live in the EU with more stringent consumer laws regarding virtual content. Or have a upper tier line of credit that lets you return anything via them no questions asked for up to one year. They take care of it. Yes there is a fee but if your running a business its a big plus. Regardless at some point EA will do something. They will realize that they can make more money off of this and offer unlock boosters so we don't have to play against bots. We can have everything and go right to fighting those pesky elitist streamers. Sadly the culture surrounding Battlefield and the larger FPS community is not what it was back when the franchise was king. The newer generation of gamers want constant action, high input, high punishment, games that reward those skills. Sadly in my case those skills are long gone. My current options to get the unlocks are to either play official servers and hope for the best but most likely be cannon fodder for a 14 year old ghost energy drinking UMP-40 user. Scream on the Forums/Reddit/Constant Support tickets/Contacting AARP and every other body that will listen. Or do what the community is doing. Find a way. It seems like the old BF3 and 4 boost servers are back and the player base is helping each other out to get what they need which is both touching and sad. Its great to see people helping each other but its sad it has to be this way. Hopefully EA will figure something out but I highly doubt it. They are staring down COD 7 and we all know 7 has to be better than 6 cause math....right?
