Consoles are a big part of gaming and if you're going to invest money in crossplay and such then you really want to put developers on optimizing the game. As for balance it's just ensuring everyone has a fair shake at the game which is intrinsically good.
The spawn beacon change I imagine they didn't just decide on a whim and it took a good amount of testing to see if it worked better. You don't just make a change like that randomly. Most recons end up using it to just act as a "get out of jail free" by respawning right where they want even if it's miles from the objective. Assault beacon means it is more likely to be up close in the action and actively contributing to pushes for the team.
The insta 180 is not a gimmick it's an accessibility feature for those who can't move particularly fast, as well as something you see in other games (though i can't recall which ones precisely but i have seen it before)
We'll have to see with cosmetics. Odds are there'll be markers that are universal like how with 2042 you had IFF lights in blue/orange for friend/foe respectively. This is more than likely something that has been considered since the first concept art for cosmetics.
The stats on open/closed is them saying it pretty much didn't matter. Matches were largely similar, players ended up liking open more sure but ultimately it didn't matter. Also they aren't getting rid of closed so it again... doesn't matter. The UI thing from beta was a single day, and odds are it was more than likely just a bug than it was something intentional.
Everybody is going to abuse the insta 180.
Like I said about spawn beacon they want everybody to just blob and zerg.
Faction identity is about a uniform look to the faction, 2042 might aswell not have factions how messed up cosmetics are.
They are going to include a likely very restricted playlist for closed weapons and will use this "data" to justify it.
