Some issues

The Dev team aren't doing a great job, the player retention is quite poor. There are some underlying reasons, and I'm afraid the last updates show the Dev team definitely arent all at the same level. Some aspects of the game are good, others are really bad.

  • The net code is abysmal. The last update has made things worse, not better. Time to bring in some outside help, the Devs responsible for this part of the game aren't good enough. Time to death is too often one frame, hit reg is still poor and the amount of dying behind cover has gotten worse. If the devs need to gaslight and claim they have improved it, it proves they don't know what they are doing and haven't gotten the ability to fix it.
  • The maps... very much a mixed bag. The latest maps are just bad, Blackwell Fields plays like it was made in 3 minutes, with no thought given to it at all. Mirak valley is also just one of the maps that is a slugfest. The rest of the maps are alright, but not great.
  • Character models and skins, they look like they were designed by the same people responsible for the models of 2042... Frankly they look cartoonish and weak. The skins are getting more childish as well, the devs responsible here can't seem to get a grasp on realism and actual military gear.
  • Too many game modes, and way too many which are uninteresting and no-one will play. Will just serve to fracture the community and too much time is wasted on this nonsense no one is asking for. Focus on the base modes and just make them good.
  • Portal, is under supported and useless. EA does nothing with the stuff being created there.

It just feels like without the community holding their hands, the Devs are not of the level across the board where they bring quality to every aspect of the game. It just feels like there are brilliantly talented people working along side absolute amateurs. I really hope whoever now takes the lead, can manage it so the level is improved across the board.

vinnieDAcleaner bro its 2026. Movement in arcade FPS is a thing and in BF6 it is highly penalized already. Hardly anything like cod. My soldier feels like he has concrete boots and a fitness waver. Even Arma has tac sprint. If you can't hit your shots on someone slide peeking thats your problem. Work on your aim. As for prone snipers I feel we have more than enough of them. The problem is lack of flinch and no real bullet drop. I would prefer my team to be sliding and jumping around objectives rather than proning like rats on a hill half a mile away going 3-0. Agree on the cosmetics though

  • Indeed, EA Devs simply don't have the talent or motivation it seems. Every single modern EA game gets made worse by the Devs, not better. I know a lot of talented developers left because of how EA operates, but my lord... what's left behind doesn't seem like they are at all capable.

I have faith the Devs are working hard... I'm sure Season 2 will fix EVERYTHING 🤣

  • This was a big concern of mine when they announced that ex CoD developers were in charge.

They can salvage the game if they stop thinking CoD and start thinking Battlefield.

    • Sell realistic skins based off real world uniforms
    • Large maps with enough area to flank, enough area to be able to skirt around tanks, enough area for aircraft to not have to fly like they are doing laps in a pool.
    • Implement penalties to aiming when exploiting game mechanics by jumping and sliding around constantly. This includes the twitchy players strafing back and forth instead of using skill to win encounters.
    • Eliminate the use of sniper rifles/DMRs as one-shot kill assault rifles. They should have tremendous sway unless still and prone.
  • I no longer believe that anything will change for the better in Battlefield 6; the people responsible for this title are currently focused on extracting more money from players by offering them worthless things in return.

The game's state remains abysmal, with surprisingly little content.

Don't they have the talent and technical skills/ability to recreate what was in previous games in the series (Battlefield 3, 4)? I don't believe that either; they simply don't want to do it.
