Suggestion for Mastery XP

I have like 160 badges, so I like very much the system that rewards me for my time and give me a long grind that will last me given my time played, more than almost any other player on the planet.

These past two days though, I wanted to unlock my last two gold badges just to do it, and the only two I need are Jets.  And I don't fly in this game ever.   So I have been trying to do that.  I'm horrible.  It's the worse thing I've ever done.

After some time in this I wished there were a portal mode where I could just get it over with, but I hate the idea of allowing portal to allow for mastery xp.

Suddenly, I was in the shoes of the older player, or casual player, who feels like the grind is too large.  And so I started thinking about what could be done in my case for example to make this jet grind better given how horrible I am at Jets, but without giving it to me through portal and cheesing it.

The answer is a passive XP toward weapons, alongside our normal mastery xp inside official game modes.

This means that there is a set number of hours, that even if I never killed a single person with that gun, I would eventually unlock all the camo's for it and attachments.   Same with vehicles.

I am not suggesting that it be easy, I am just suggesting, that a passive xp alongside normal mastery xp would likely solve some of the issues people feel are too harsh.

So, for my case, maybe I don't get a kill for two days in a Jet.  But I tried, and I hated it, but I learned a little flying, and I know that in X number of hours, even if I fail at getting kills, I will earn my badge.

The way it exists now is, especially if you are using something like a jet, which you don't enjoy, don't want to do...I just want x number of kills and I am hating every round, especially when I get 60xp in an entire match toward mastery.    Especially for the first badges, 10 hours in a jet when I don't really want to be in a jet, should be enough game time for me to earn the bronze badge.

And a person with 10 hours played with a gun, should get some xp for that even if they suck at the fps part of the game, or their 70 years old and struggling to shoot these days, or they got 5 kids in the background, at least these people know that their hours earned something no matter how they did.

For players that are ace pilots, they will hardly notice the difference, for people like me with 700 hours played, we will hardly notice the difference with gun mastery, or tank mastery.

And as a player who plays that much, I feel it totally fair for a guy who can't get a kill to save his life with a gun, be reward and get his attachment and badge for the time he spent playing the game with that gun or that vehicle.

It also pushes the scoring for things like the transport vehicles, which now would earn mastery xp just for keeping the spawn point open, even if noone spawned on you.

I think it's a win win.  Keep the mastery xp disabled in custom lobbies to these afk lobbies can't abuse the mastery xp with afk modes, and bam, maybe you make everyone happy.

At least put a jets and helis game mode only out that awards mastery xp.  I am so sick of sitting in matches spamming the button to spawn in a jet I'm ready to uninstall.  I spent one match the entire matching spamming the spawn button and NEVER GOT A JET.  No xp, no nothing, just a sore finger.
