Suggestion for the game....
After playing bf6 for a few sessions , I see what most are addressing in this forum. It is unfortunate that the "emphasis" in the development of this game was to attract the cod community, instead of using the tech to make a battlefield game true to its source for once. I will not list all the problems as they have been covered quite adequately in the posts by others. Instead I will offer this in hopes that the devs will take it under advisement. For clarity , I was part of a group or clan that built and ran servers for bf1942 and bf2 and the mods they had such as FH1 and 2 , PR and the original modern combat game that started it all "desert combat".
Create a map pack of four or five maps to start that are epic in size. Look back at bf2 or mods like project reality for examples. Make them conquest , both arcade style and hardcore , with non-linear capture points. Have the locations both land and sea or both , with appropriate vehicles that are dictated by the location and not generic(like in bf6 now). Increase the player count to 128 for these maps. It can be done and you know it can, because it was before. Have squads of up to 8 players and class lock the different soldiers. Also ,include the commander for each side. Please remove the sliding on these maps (good grief a bunch of ice skaters with helmets) , also no bunny hopping and dolphin diving or unlimited sprinting.
I could go on , but I think it is clear . Put out something like this that is more battlefield than cod for once. Sometimes you have to know the past to be able to move forward.
