Recon Class Loot Crates – Weapon Variety Suggestion
I’d like to suggest a small change to Recon class-specific loot crates to improve weapon variety and flexibility.
Right now, Recon crates seem to consistently give a bolt-action sniper rifle. While that works for players who prefer long-range precision play, it limits options for those who want a different playstyle within the Recon class.
A potential improvement would be changing the loot pool so Recon crates have a 50/50 chance between a DMR and a bolt-action sniper rifle.
This would:
- Give players more flexibility in how they play Recon
- Make DMRs more accessible in class-specific loot pools
- Reduce the feeling of being forced into bolt-action gameplay when playing Recon
- Keep balance intact while expanding viable options
From my experience, DMRs are already much harder to come across in class-specific or general loot crates, so this change would help them feel more naturally integrated into the loot system.
Overall, it would make Recon feel more diverse without removing bolt-action rifles from the pool.
