I agree that suppression needs more work. It feels really inconsistent with player weapons, especially LMGs; the only time I see suppression trigger consistently is when explosions happen near the one getting shot at or with the use of mounted HMGs, regardless of distance. I always thought BF4 and 1 had a suppression mechanic that actually felt decent for both ends. You could still fight (not at your best, obviously) while suppressed, even returning suppressing fire back. It gave your team and squads a chance to push into objectives, delay a push from attackers, or revive other teammates. It doesn't feel impactful in 6; it just seems like a gimmick to try and appease people who liked using that mechanic in previous titles. I loved playing support in previous titles because it felt like the "Battlefield" experience to resupply teammates while suppressing the enemy so your team could effectively play their roles out. It just doesn't feel that way in 6. I'm only hoping "Fire Support" training path does what it says it does.
