Portal should have seperate progression split from the official modes. That is the only way I would agree with you. But if you can farm items vs bots and then go play official modes with that, that is very bad for the intergrity of the game as you didn't earn your items say vs humans like the others.

Weapons, Weapon attachments, gadgets and vehicle upgrades are important parts of the infantry/vehicle kits and not accolades.
The fact that they need to be "earned" via a massive grind is asinine.
