You've just completely screwed over a large portion of the player base just now by turning off weapon and attachment XP in portal servers.
I don't have time to play this game all day every day. I will never be able to be on par with other players without being able to unlock attachments and weapons faster. It takes incredibly long in a normal match for casual folks like me to unlock stuff.
I am a legitimate player who plays breakthrough and conquest matches against bots. I am too old and this game is sometimes too fast for me. I just want to relax after work and kill some bots with my friends, or by myself.
Now, i can't. I'm out until this is changed. This was the last straw for me. EA just completely screwed a lot of us over.
This was a great change. Start to play vs humans if you wanna get fair progression like everyone else in a multiplayer game.

My guy, there are quite a few people who enjoy playing against bots. Not everyone has time to spend hours a day playing a game just to get better.
So you are pretty much saying screw ppl with bad k/d, handicapped people, or even older gamers and anybody that's not good at shooting?

For some of us who have disabilities like Charcot Marie Tooth Syndrome (CMT) That effects your nerves, your sensory and motor skills the Portals were awesome to play in. You take 5 steps on a real server and you get shot by a sniper or get into a situation where you can't think fast enough or have the reflexes to act on it, especially since there are hacks still in BF6 Arctic cheats claims to be undiscoverable. The Portal Exp was one of the man reasons i decided to try Battlefield, it's the first in the series i tried. But I prob won't play it as much now, ever since i noticed the changes and read about it i got on another game i could enjoy more. Bit of false advertising if you ask me
I think the bigger problem is EA said full progression and exp on portal... now they renege on that point after people hand over their cash. That itself should not be encouraged for any company to do whatsoever.
It's not just about the bots, we can't play certain game modes either now. Any hardcore match is modified exp, the BFOfficial Portal lobbies are modified exp. I don't care if i'm playing against bots or humans, but I did enjoy hardcore and I can't even play it now.
This is a fair argument and totally valid. Hardcore should've been an official mode like it was on previous titles anyways. And even if they weren't official, they shouldn't have been affected by the XP changes, granted the match is 50%+ players.
Exactly, ruined the hardcore experience which is what carried them with bad company 2 all the way to Battlefield four
Does this change have any real effect on you, or how you like to play? I would suggest it actually doesn't. Perhaps the change is good for your ego?
It does have a negative effect on many players experience within the game though. The wider picture is, this was billed as a big plus for them pre-launch. It attracted people to part with money. Them removing the feature is out of order. I would happily fill a room with people from my friends list to play with/against humans. Sometimes, 3am going in a room to face up agains sweat squads, the odd cheater and map/mechanic abusers? Whilst enjoyable at the right time of day, sometimes that is just a bit overwhwlming. I'm sure other players feel the same.
Brother there is bots in regular multiplayer, and this change single-handedly ruined hard-core and locked weapons conquest, which is real battlefield not this cod re skin
youre not thinking long term health for the game, so i can tell youre a fake fan. Picture a new player, say 1 yr from now when alot of ppl have unlocked most attachments and weapons. Now, imagine how un-motivated that new player will be when they soon realize how long they will need to grind in order just to compete with half the lobby because they dont have the meta weapons and attacthments
You are a selfish blinkered individual (keeping respectful), prefer to describe you otherwise ... Its people like you that ruin games for the average player with a life

i disagree many of us enjoyed playing solo coop in 2042 just to unlock weapons so what is wrong with that?
BF6 had it and now it's gone which in fact will decrease in player base. I myslef am a tester not for Battlefield but for a different gaming company and the devs DO listen to the community I am hoping EA reverts back and rEpatches this game mode.
