This was a great change. Start to play vs humans if you wanna get fair progression like everyone else in a multiplayer game.
Does this change have any real effect on you, or how you like to play? I would suggest it actually doesn't. Perhaps the change is good for your ego?
It does have a negative effect on many players experience within the game though. The wider picture is, this was billed as a big plus for them pre-launch. It attracted people to part with money. Them removing the feature is out of order. I would happily fill a room with people from my friends list to play with/against humans. Sometimes, 3am going in a room to face up agains sweat squads, the odd cheater and map/mechanic abusers? Whilst enjoyable at the right time of day, sometimes that is just a bit overwhwlming. I'm sure other players feel the same.
