You've just completely screwed over a large portion of the player base just now by turning off weapon and attachment XP in portal servers.
I don't have time to play this game all day every day. I will never be able to be on par with other players without being able to unlock attachments and weapons faster. It takes incredibly long in a normal match for casual folks like me to unlock stuff.
I am a legitimate player who plays breakthrough and conquest matches against bots. I am too old and this game is sometimes too fast for me. I just want to relax after work and kill some bots with my friends, or by myself.
Now, i can't. I'm out until this is changed. This was the last straw for me. EA just completely screwed a lot of us over.
I agree and they handled this very poorly. They should allow XP and weapon progression with bots on default mode, the bots are hard enough to fight it deserves progression, no progression on bots on easy mode, and some faster progression on bots hard mode.
What's one of the major causes they removed the progression is of course bot farms. So in the first place, if they don't like people exploiting bot farms, they need to address the bot farms and not take away one of the key features many bought the game on.
What's being abused in reality in bot farms is the spawn point, they should not be able to stand next the bot spawn, bots always respawn on the same place so just make the spawn area off limits for bot games and let bots spawn on different random places so they can disperse on the map and not be farmed the way they are now.
Couple of days ago i was in a match and there was already a squad that had their class Elite, so while everyone else is still bronze or silver, they run around with all the maxed out weapons, all the best gadgets and probably increased health and armor because it felt like shooting a bibi gun at them, they were like 50% stronger than everyone else. The game released 12 days ago, everyone still at beginners lvl's and these exploiters run around completely maxed out?! That's cheating in my book.
So EA did it the easy way just turning off the button and punish everyone because they allow a small percentage to exploit the game in AFK & Bot farms.
What they need to do is bring back full progression, work on the bot spawn issue, remove all the AFK & Bot farms and ban accounts in the future that makes them, and reset all the accounts that run around with a class above gold.
