the problem is people are upset that people are inflating their stats and having a higher level despite it not actually meaning they are a better player, a lvl 80 bot farmer will still get stomped by a lvl 6 rocking an SGX. The solution? Easy, Remove the xp from bot killing but keep weapon and challenge progression then everyone is happy. I don't play bots, They are boring for me but I see the outrage. If Battlefields main selling point for a lot of people was that Portal would have full exp and progression then to renege on that after people have handed over their money is not fair to those players who solely purchased the game with the expectation of said Portal experience.
Challenges shouldn't be doable vs bots.
Someone will have the round of their life completing some of them and some body who boosted it vs bots will rock up with the same stuff, that doesn't sit right.

Have you ever played a bot game in Bf6? They are hard and will definitely own you at one point, so bot games are definitely suitable for all progression, the system is fair if you play the game, what's not fair and was happening is 5 or 10 players standing around a bot spawn killing 400 bots each.
There are many players who only play against bots, why shouldn't they be allowed to be able to unlock everything at normal time pace and enjoy their game like everyone else the way they choose to, it doesn't affect the game in any way, What affects the game now in the early stage is these noobs killing 400 bots a round unlocking all the powerful weapons with the only intent to have an unfair advantage in the multiplayer games. They're just a bunch of insecure noobs, the same kind that buy cheats because they're butthurt someone kills them in a videogame.

Exactly this. I think there is a bit of a disconnect with people thinking PvE, PvP, and bot farming. I don't see a problem with someone playing against bots in a similar fashion to what 2042 did where you selected conquest and then it said "quick match" or "Solo/Co-op". You can play normal games with bots and not have the ability to change the rules or manipulate them to farming. I think the people farming bots standing in one spot in portal is absolutely wrong but if you play regularly against bots like 2042 had I think that should be fine.
As someone who grew up playing competitive gaming and have been playing Battlefield since Vietnam I've grown tired of constant PvP. I still play PvP on BF6. It's really fun but sometimes I after work I just don't feel like going against people who don't work or live on this game and just wanna have mindless fun. Should bot kills go towards K/D and stats? probably not. Should they go towards rank and weapons and stuff at full or half XP? I think so. In the end PvP will still come down to skill vs skill. I've beaten people with no attachments on my weapon plenty of times and other times not. Will attachments and other weapons give others an advantage? Sure. In a fight between someone who's played PvP for 50 hours vs someone who's only fought bots for 50 the person who's played PvP will have waaaay better skills and most likely win their engagement regardless of the weapons given to them.
All in all this is just my take. I think there needs to be work done like 2042 where people normally fighting bots should be okay but farming in portal should get nothing.

I'm curious, how are they doing afk servers? I take a short break to get a drink and snack and i'm logged out. As for the bots they seem quite formidable, especially when we push aggressively. I don't see them just standing around

AFK servers are exactly what they're called, you spawn into the game and do nothing, you get spawned from one sector to the other and take the sector, that is how they farm XP, well anyway that was how they did it in the Beta, i once joined 10 min to see what it was all about. The only thing i know is that it can seriously f up your cpu and gpu, and probably cause memory leaks, i remember my ram being 10 gig for the 10 min i was in there, normally i don't get more than 1 gig for a day's gaming. I don't know what they are about, but what i know is that the owners don't make them out of charity. Imo many accounts in there are theirs and they farm to then sell max tier accounts on cheat websites, that's the only thing that would make sense to me. Anyhow, it is 100% an exploit and they should be removed.
"I don't see them just standing around" If your pointing at bot farms, well that's the trick, they set the server on a static spawn point and then stand around it shooting the bots before they can even move. But if you let them play and be dispersed they will sure as hell own your ... if you don't pay attention. And that is exactly why all progression needs to come back. There is no bot problem, there's an exploit problem.
