I am an older gamer, and if I had known before that EA would REMOVE the weapon progression FEATURE in bot games AFTER RELEASE, I would NOT HAVE PURCHASED the game.
EA, at least give us SOLO gameplay modes vs bots with limited weapon progression like BF2042 had. IMHO a publisher cannot just REMOVE ADVERTISED FEATURES after release.
Yep, this is the boat I'm in. If they had just never had any sort of PVE XP, I'd have just refunded the game and gone on with my life, instead they took our money and then took 11 days to get rid of bot XP from verified experiences. And they have bafflingly gone with the worst possible solutions for these issues instead of creating the obvious ones like bringing back 2042's solo/coop mode or hell, just changing what settings cause a verified experience to change to "modified" XP, which we know they can do because they did it for bot backfill; they should have done that for bot health/movement or some other **bleep** like that.
of course we wouldnt have purchased it knowing beforehand...and they know that full well and planned it that way...this happened with 2042 post release (bot farms and closing the servers, removing xp and progression from bots, etc)...so they already knew what to expect and what they had planned. This was wholly intentional, to cheat us and lie, and they should be made liable for it now. I'm not waiting 6 months to get bots back in.
They better give us pre-made custom files in portal to play for all the default game modes with bots this week. I'm not going to study an SDK and figure out how to make a half-arsed Conquest mode that plays like crapola so I expect they need to provide this to us immediately.
Meanwhile I am starting a charge-back since I have no use for the game until its got bots back in the normal game types.
I've really had it with Steam as well...will not buy anymore games from their platform without an offer of a refund from them. 2 hour window my foot!
