Absolutely agree — you said exactly what so many of us feel.
Battlefield used to be about choice, freedom and teamwork. Portal was the one thing that still carried that original Battlefield soul — a place where we could relax, play at our own pace, and still make progress. Now it’s just been stripped away because of a few exploiters.
The XP nerf didn’t fix anything; it only punished the honest players who actually enjoy PVE and slower, tactical gameplay. Every time I try to play now, it’s either chaos, lag, or people bunny-hopping like it’s Call of Duty. The atmosphere and team feeling that made Battlefield special are gone.
If DICE and EA want to rebuild trust, they need to bring back full progression for legitimate PVE modes — with proper anti-farm controls, sure — but not by killing what made Portal worth playing in the first place.
Many of us long-time Battlefield players aren’t asking for more grind or competition. We just want the old Battlefield feeling back — big maps, strategy, teamwork, and the freedom to play how we want.
