This whole situation is so easily addressed that it's obvious Dice/EA are simply looking to feed the egos of a bunch of streamers with funneling them "easy" kills in PVP.
I say its easily addressed as there was no need to turn off bots at all to get rid of XP farms - simply make it less appealing to XP farm. All they had to do was set a cap on the amount of xp awarded from bot lobbies - either per day, per hour, or per game. Best solution would be to take whatever the average XP gain is from a standard PVP match for a game mode and set bot lobby XP gains to some percentage of that for the similar game mode, like say 50%. Add a daily cap on top of that and suddenly XP farms aren't worth the effort anymore as it's faster to level up in PVP, but still gives casual players progression. From the many posts I've read most people who want the bot backfill restored would be completely fine with slower progression compared to PVP.
