As of this writing I can confirm that bots are still functioning in BF2042's Portal. I made a new match and it allows me to add PvP bots, but does not allow me to change team sizes. I have not tried to replace the PvP bots with the PvE ones but the option is there to do so within the Portal interface so I assume it works as well, although I assume for less XP/progression.

Anyway...2042's bots seem to still be intact for me as of now.
