So I just found out and verified that there are no bots allowed on verified portal experiences. The option to backfill is greyed out.
So what's the point of portal? Even MP has bots. No bots at ALL? How do you plan to fill your servers?
I thought we'd be able to unlock weapons and attachments vs bots. What happened to that? I'm old. I wear bifocals. I have arthritis. I have nerve damage. I bought this game thinking I could play vs bots like in 2042.
Instead, I have two choices: go into MP where I can't unlock anything because I get killed every 20 seconds by people sprinting and sliding and bunny-hopping all over the place like crazy and coming at me from literally every direction, or play portal for no xp, no unlocks, no rewards.
Dice, I'm disappointed.
I'm with OP on this one. I played 2042 and really loved playing my own map rotation and settings with bots. Just me and bots. I don't play online and have no interest in online only games. Had I known that bots would be disabled I literally would not have bought the game. So kudos, EA, you've squeezed another £70 out of someone that's been playing games for years and will not buy another one that you have anything to do. Not because I'm angry or disappointed, but because I don't trust you to deliver any more.
I'm done.
