Sorry bud but the real problem more than aim assist but the reverse as you have it here. It is aim assist+desync/hit registration+25% reduced recoil+less bloom (don't know hard number)+ cheating + the game not being the experience PC players enjoy from the Battlefield franchise. All these things together make PC players want to uninstall. I am one of them.
Aim Assist shouldn't exist at all and what the BF devs have done with this game is as bad if not worse than what COD did. I mean a hard coded 25% recoil reduction and less bloom for controllers in a game where weapon balance is based on recoil and bloom!
We PC players have for years had to deal with the same sync and hit registration issues each time a BF game launches. I remember it being a big problem in BF3 as PC only. What made me quit then was the cheating but at least then we had private controlled servers, not this Company Furnished low tick rate garbage we are forced to play on. De-sync issues still exist in 2042... which they practically abandoned until BF6 was nearer to launch.
I appreciate your standing up for your PC friends, but until controller players stop demanding Aim Assist to "level the playing field" it will be an issue. Easy solution, put PC and Console back into their respective environments and don't allow ANY PC aim assist. The aim assist is bad for gaming is the hill I have chosen to die on and will fight it in every game I play. I just wish controller players would realize, what helps them, makes the game way worse for who they beat up on to the point they quit. That is no way to run a "competitive FPS game."
