No you don't understand and it has nothing to do with the promoting or promising they made, read my former reply again. An amount of people have exploited the progression system to get an unfair advantage in weapon progression, so EA was forced to disable progression to fix the exploit so it immediately stops from happening, it takes time to program the fail safes into the game, this doesn't happen overnight. As much as you want progression back in bot lobbies, so do the multiplayer gamers want a fair game that isn't ruined by stronger weapons from someone who exploited the system.
If this happened 6 months from now it wouldn't be an as large of an issue cause for the most part everyone would have unlocked these weapons, but because most people still have basic weapons while they run around with maxed out ones, it's a huge issue. Don't be mad at EA, be mad at the cheaters, because any method used to get an unfair advantage in game is cheating. If it was up to me i'd ban every single account having several weapons on Elite tier right now. There is a difference going once or twice into a Bot farm to have fun shooting bots like they were zombies than spending eight hours a day in a bot lobby to unlock everything to get an unfair advantage.
I hope you understand now.
Are you aware of the precedent with 2042? It was never fully adressed in 2042. BF6 was marketed as a game that was fixing the issue from 2042.
