I personally profoundly dislike the whole "I'm a veteran <insert for how long>, therefore listen to me and nobody else"-ethos.
I beg leave to disagree and heartily support taking longer than a split second to down someone. It comes across as symptomatic of ADHD to partake (nay, to be obsessed) in action that needs to be so fast. People complaining that "movement is too slow!", "TTK is too slow!", "I can't keep jumping, nor sliding!" says much more about the players' state of mind than the game developers' intentions.
Look at E_____ YT'er and it will prove the point that people need to chill and take a break.
