ADS bullet spread is NOT fine.
Battlefield is suppose to be known for large maps. Why even have large maps if you cant even land 5 accurate shots in the time before an enemy reaches cover?
Players will most often avoid long distance engagements as its usually a waste of time and will give away your position trying to fight RNG bullet spread.
The terrible bullet spread combined with damage fall off makes it a chore to shoot players 5 times at a distance.
The ADS bullet spread...
- Makes players not trust their weapon sights
- Funnels players into close quarters combat where they CAN get away with spraying
- Is inconsistent across different weapons even in the same class (starter assault rifle is bad, some arent)
- Introduces weapon "metas" which in itself is NOT good gameplay
- Still promotes volume of fire/spraying rather than bursting. If you stop to burst, the player spraying will get lucky and hit you due to sheer bullet volume.
The game would be much more enjoyable if players actually saw why shots were going off-target with visual random recoil.
It wouldnt change your gameplay. It would still essentially be the same recoil patterns. Youd still have "just bUrsT bRo" as your go to answer.
Then all that would be left for EA to do is to properly balance weapon classes.
SMGs have less bullet spread, and do 25 damage, like assault rifles. That alone is a problem.
I disliked the bullet spread in the beta.
Now i wish wed at least tone it back to those levels.
Patch 1.0.1.0 is WHACK.
Many talented FPS players agree.
You made them go to cover giving you a chance to move up.
Think outside of just pew pew.
