Dice you need to start listening to alot of the Battlefield veterans.

Well, they promised a "back to the roots" Battlefield and we got a Clownfield 6.0 with tiny maps, ridiculous netcode, bunny hopping and sliding madness in lunatic costumes and with crap cosmetics. Well done, DICE!

I found the cheesy comments very annoying also in battlefield 2042. I dont get why battlefield went from arcade fps based on realism to alice in wonderland fatigues.  These devs are killing what once was a successful franchise.

I get things change and why Battlefield needed to evolve. Pre ordered BF1942 hard to believe that was over 20 years ago. I wish for rental servers, back to basic classes and larger maps. But I believe that ship has sailed.

No we don't, The younger generation don't know their **bleep** from a hole in the ground.

Games evolve but they don't stray away from the core gameplay. Take World of Warcraft for example. It has changed over the years but at it's heart it is still World of Warcraft. Blizzard could have dumbed down the game for consoles, but they didn't. They could have changed game mechanics to cater to twitchy players, but they didn't.

Battlefield was at it's best when it was PC only with large maps, tactical gameplay, no CoD movement and no tolerance for people exploiting game mechanics or worrying about K/D more than the objective.

Now we are left with small maps and twitchy run-and-gun console kiddies jumping and sliding around constantly because they lack the skill to play the game like the tactical shooter that it's meant to be.

JackFrags did a video on a player made map that is huge called Gulf of Lyndon that is exactly the type of map that BF6 should have a lot more of, and as an added bonus the movement is toned way down. You can still slide but it's a realistic slide not some arcade CoD slide.

In many ways, Battlefield 6 takes a lot of inspiration from Battlefield 3 and 4. Battlefield 3 was essentially the moment that the franchise truly broke through to mainstream, with far bigger sales numbers than any of the previous titles. So mentioning that it goes back to its roots does make sense.

Sliding has been in multiple Battlefield games now and has solidified itself as a movement mechanic. Battlefield 4 for example didn't have sliding, but it did for example have air control, which you could claim goes back to even older games like CS 1.6 and Quake. In Battlefield 2 you had dolphin diving. Non-realistic movement mechanics have been part of the franchise for a long time now and it always surprises me when people claim that this game should be "grounded".

Why are you guys making it easier to see the enemy?

Just because they make some minor adjustments to visibility doesn't mean you suddenly lose your ability to sneak around. The problem people are facing here is that the lighting just screws with your depth perception. This means that you aren't able to see things that you should be reasonably be able to see, even at close distances.

Whats up with smg with  17bullet mag?

Why is this an issue? Generally speaking, the weapons that have low magazine capacity, are pretty strong in terms of other statistics like damage or fire rate.

Why does AR and LMG lose 20% damage after 20 meters? 

All weapons have damage drop off in the game. It's just one of several ways that they use to balance the effective range of a weapon. Losing 20% damage isn't much. Depending on the weapon that may mean that you need one additional bullet to kill somebody. When your TTK with a 4 bullet to kill, is around 250 ms, it would only raise the TTK to about 313 ms for 5 bullets. I really don't see the problem. Battlefield games have been balanced like this for a long time now. 

Also why remove the ability to cook grenades? 

Because in a hectic game like Battlefield, nobody likes getting instantly killed by things they can't even respond to. That's why sniper scopes have a glint as well. I believe a DICE employee commented on this a while ago and mentioned that grenades are meant as an area denial tool. I don't even remember it ever being part of the Battlefield franchise to begin with.

For the most part, I don't think the things you've mentioned are issues that have anything to do Battlefield 6 not adhering to the roots of the franchise. Most of them aren't even issues to begin with, autospot is silly though.

Well said.  Smg's are ridiculous as it stands anyway, range is crazy on them. LMG has a large clip, so dmg drop-off is literally a non-issue. 

I'm not real sure about the enemy view issue, seems like a nit-picking thing people are complaining about.  I do like the sunlight in your eyes in some instances, realistic. 

Cooking grenades would be kind of fun, not going to lie, but I do get that it would insta-kill if not for the grenade intercept.  Everything in a Battlefield game is supposed to have a counter by design, like an RTS game.  

And damnit, where are the Big maps, boats, and Weather!? lets make that a priority for 2026 EA/DICE !

Haha. This happens all the time because of the abysmal netcode and the bad audio design. It is honestly just pathetic.
