Weapon bloom (spread) is fine.

The weapon spread is fine and does not need removing.

The longer you hold the trigger the more erratic the spread becomes, to counter this you need tap and burst fire which is something that we all learned to do, controlling your fire rate is a skill.

I understand alot if players are not used to this mechanic or just don't like it but it is there to prevent everybody just using full auto all the time, it makes engagements more tactical.

Full auto should only be used at close distances, thats a gameplay and design mechanic that is core to battlefields identity.

There is a refusal to adapt to the games mechanics because they do not mirror other games, its OK for games to take different approaches and to do their own thing, everything doesn't need to be copy and paste.

I could decide to play another fps and realise the gunplay doesn't mirror battlefields and complain but I won't because that is how that game works.

Is it a learning curve if you are not used to it, yes it is but just because you have to learn a mechanic doesn't make it bad.

If it was up to me we would have battlefield 3's suppression too that made your spread even worse when under fire.

  • Ricky, you couldnt even be more wrong if you tried.

    EA doesnt think its fine.

But keep defending RNG. Definitely a newb who doesnt know how to balance a game.

Just because its always been a part of battlefield doesnt mean anything.

Most players hate ADS bullet spread

It was a work around technique that is ancient. From the dial up 56k days.

RNG gun fights have no place in a high tense game like battlefield

bullet bloom is there to punish all players. dice and ea have created bloom so it can DICTATE who wins firefights. its now a real time sbmm mechanic 100%. good players will feel frustration and bad aiming players will NEVER feel like their aim is progressing. it will ruin the game. fortnite had it...they minimalized it because people hated it. bf2042 had it and it died. bf1 and bf4 had it and it was terribleee.   i think they are catering for people with bad aim that dont like being beaten by people with better aim in gunfights. bloom makes everyone as bad as the worst person. its communism of gaming.

Like I said, I agree that it is bugged in its current state and isn't behaving the way it should and dice are going to adjust it.

Yes its RNG. We Dice could make it like Counter strike and have recoil pattern for all guns that you can learn. It will remove the RNG but is that what battlefield is about? I am not arguing that he game can have more horizontal drift or vertical recoil when firing, that is legit. What i argue is that if you are going to have the dot follow all the bullet impacts and have the same recoil pattern as right now you are not going to spray at all.

Ex: With an LMG you can spray a lot. If you aim at someone mid spray you are missing a lot of bullets cause of bloom. If your crosshairs would follow every every round you would not be able to see anything at all in your sights. You would become dizzy after a few sprays.

Squad has opted for more visual gun recoil (not sure if they have bloom or not) and in that game any form of spray is useless cause you have now clue what you are aiming at cause of the recoil.

Its either that or reduce the recoil in general and make it follow but i am afraid weapon balancing will be ruined. Alternatively you could have spray patterns like CS2. But then again not even CS2 follows it spray with the crosshair.

I do agree that there is an issue with everyone stacking precision on their guns, completely agree. M4a1 was busted during the beta and i still see it used frequently. M433 is also in the same boat. Mostly cause attachments mostly have low downsides to them.

  • Not a removal but a reduction like they did in bf 4 what we have now is reminiscent to what bf 4 was at launch and everyone agreed then that it was way too much bloom

The m4a1 was not busted in the beta. It was one of a extremely small pool of weapons it was common and a lot of people were using it. your perception is extremely skewed so was everyone elses. the sxg smg was much stronger but it wasnt popular so you didnt see it as much to know that it was. the m433 was much stronger than the m4a1 and still is with attachments but again people werent using it. You watch too much stream clips if you really played and tested the weapons yourself youd know it wasnt broken it was just a good gun. the M4a1 is an icnoic weapon and is popular just by name alone if its available people will use it just because they like the gun itself. now we have the whole roster of weapons and there are some guns that are downright monsters compared to the claims of the m4a1 from beta or otherwise.
