What is the point of unlocking guns and attachments behind ridiculous grind wall

I mean, unlocking system is there to softly guide player into the game. Sort of a tutorial. Because if you throw everything at a new player at once, they will be overwhelm.

Same goes with the gun attachments. It is there to introduce player to a gun. Let them feels the basic character of that gun, so they know how to best approach it.

So why in the name of god, I need to kill like over 300 enemy just to access basic attachment like suppressor or extended mag? (yes, I count that after around level 10, you need to kill 30 enemies to progress a level, and a lot of useful stuff comes after level 20). And what feels like 1,000 kills to level 40 to unlock everything. Do we need to kill 1,000 enemies to get the hang of 1 weapons? Or unlock is there to gate keep people from accessing what they ALREADY PAID FOR. And to guide them to buy XP boost?

To be honest, grind in this game feels like it was design primarily to force people to spend money to unlock stuff. Not to enhance the fun or enjoyment of the game. I spend like 350 hours in this game and I manage to unlock everything for 6 primary weapons. Rest is still at around level 20, not even half way through the progression tree, and need more grind, much much more grind. And I felt super burnt out try to grind stuffs instead of being able to finished the grind and enjoy the full game.

If DICE really design unlock mechanics to teach player how to play the game and not to gently forced player to buy XP boost. You should be able to unlock ALL your gameplay related attachments after around 150-200 kills. Not after 1,000 kills. Cosmetic is more acceptable. But not functional stuffs. Mine you, Battlefield 4 gives you all the unlocks after around 140 kills.

Because guess what, game should be fun to play. Not forced to play to access your stuff you already paid for. Have you ever considered that the reason why player base dried out so quickly, Is because you kept forcing them to play what they don't want, the way they don't want, time after time like a punishment, just for them to access thing they might want?

Battlefield 2142 has perfect unlock system. You can play whatever you felt comfortable. Then you will earn points that you can spend to unlock stuff. If you are assault main, you are not force to play sniper to unlock sniper stuffs. You can play as assault as you enjoy. And unlocking sniper stuffs. Why it devolve into play the gun you don't like for a week, just to get that weird scope that no one likes (so it buried deep in progression tree) but you felt comfortable with?
