Its pretty sad. Take kd out of the game. Wins and losses should be the stat. Sniping is very easy, takes no skill in this game. So easy kills...Padding stats

Removal of the K/D profile stat would probably make the biggest change in terms of team play. I typically go into games with the mindset of grind and win at any cost, and don't sweat dying. But, when I'm getting rolled by a team that simply out-classes mine, "The Number" eventually comes to mind.
It influences my decisions. I might push less, decide not to spawn on my squad if they are in deep or alone. Sometimes, I consider leaving the match entirely and just finding another. I've yet to actually bounce as I hate quitting. I've been on teams where half the team gives up and leaves, making a hopeless situation even more so. It feels bad and I want no part of it.
K/D addicts gonna do as they do, and even not really focusing on it there is a threshold I don't want to see mine dip below. So it changes the game.

You know how EA at some point chose to remove ping from the scoreboard? It's like they deliberately wanted to hide the fact that they allowed laggers to play the game. It's just that even when you hide the statistic, people will still notice when they get shot 3 seconds after diving behind cover.
Hiding the K/D stat from the profile is quite similar. I'll still count my kills and deaths and I can easily do the math. It will influence my decisions regardless of whether I can see it somewhere. I may not know the total, but that doesn't prevent me from setting goals on a per match basis.

You can put the ping stat back on the scoreboard, I think it's in UI or HUD settings somewhere. I know I have it on!
I mean to each there own in terms of goal setting.
Generally, I look pretty good on the scoreboard regardless and just don't think about it. It's only when I'm getting really out-classed that it has an effect and I pay attention. None of that effect is conducive to me digging deep and trying to push harder.
I'm generally more than happy to try and face an overwhelming force, at least for the duration of a match. I don't like that the bad match follows me around.
