Sidearm Customization

Sidearm enthusiast from past BF Titles here... I have accumulated over 10,000 kills between BF4, BF1 and BF6 with sidearms as I am primarily an agro-Recon sniper and it comes with the territory

BF6 has struck a wonderful chord regarding weapon balance despite very minor complaints that are often met with good balance measures.

Where it's fallen distinctively short compared to past titles are sidearms.

The combinations possible with 60 points are, quite simply, anti-fun, specifically to the semi-auto category.  They do not allow for any real customization or preferences, but rather big swing tradeoffs for a class of weapons that has no real chance of becoming OP.

I would love to be able to combine a CQB suppressor with a laser, but this isn't even possible on any semi-auto.  Why are we limited to 60 points?  Raising points to 75 would not cause the revolvers to get stronger as they're not fully kittable to 60 even now, but would allow the Semi-Autos to at least become a viable alternative with customization.

Perhaps there are concerns over the upcoming Scorpion, but quite frankly this can still be solved under any points umbrella by restricting certain attachments.

I recommend raising points to 70 or 75, or simply reducing certain attachments on select weapons such as the CQB Suppressor and the extended Magazines.  Thanks for listening

In many cases, you’re forced to sacrifice useful attachments just to stay within the point limit, which greatly limits the ability to create tactical or well-rounded pistol builds.

I do think some adjustments would help here. Increasing the total number of available points to something like 70 or 75 could be a good solution.

As you mentioned, the current system often forces players into difficult choices that limit customization more than necessary. A bit more flexibility would make sidearms much more interesting and enjoyable to customize.
