Who thought gas was a good idea?

Would really like to know what the thinking was behind season 2 and the things they are introducing. Like which dev though adding gas was this amazing idea.

Dice used to have amazing devs creating really cool games... those talented devs are still making good games, like arc raiders. Unfortunately the people now working for EA are mediocre, to put it kindly. It seems like the basic education required for creative thought and critical thinking are completely lacking, as well as the talent to actually follow through for the development phase. 

It's not like the battlefield community is hard to please... just remake battlefield 3 or 4 they asked. Instead they got a cheap knockoff made for small kids and COD players.
