- small map design is intentional in order to cater to COD bois and Fortnite kids that have zero attention span. End result is the “spawn and die….spawn and die” every 15 to 30 seconds that COD bois are used to.
- Levolution. While levolution is back and it’s great, DICE didn’t factor in the lack of cover for infantry on objectives that have been totally flattened. End result is players trying to PTFO being sniped from vehicles, helicopters and snipers 100s of yards away from the objective due to lack of cover inside the capture area.
- Just pi$$ poor objective design. It really feels like DICE had one team design the maps then had another entirely different team randomly plopped down objectives in absurd locations on every map. Case in point, Manhattan Bridge map having 2 objectives with next to ZERO cover located in the middle of 4 way intersections. These are just 2 examples. DICE did the same in 2042 and it took 6 months to a year and numerous map overhauls to finally see proper cover FOR INFANTRY ON every objective.
- Overall lack of cover on most of the “outdoors” objectives even in urban terrain. DICE obviously isn’t up to speed on modern warfare, ie Ukraine - Russia conflict. I’m talking about TRENCHES girls and boys. Trenches on every piece of land that’s has dirt/grass. Even in cities! And not the half assed a drainage ditches on the Mirak Valley map. I’m talking narrow, zig zagging trenches that are at least shoulder deep with occasional machine gun and RPG positions that have OVERHEAD cover. DICE did proper trenches in BF1 so we know they’re capable.
