Can you go into your parental controls and allow him access?
My son is 7 and I have to do it for him on some games. I get notifications when my kids wants to play a mature game. I just hit allow on my email and they get access.
Most likely it's a child account that their aon has. That's not something the guardian account can change as the child account has to age up naturally.
