Why does BR matchmake you in as a dead player?

I don't want to queue for a game and then be spawned into a squad spot where the player has died and I can only spectate unless the squad can be bothered to find a respawn point.

I get that empty spots need filling, but you should just spawn us in, not make us take the place and condition of a killed player.

Sure it's an 'advantage' for the squad that originally lost a player. How often will it happen though? Enough to make it worth annoying players and probably have them quit the match and leave the spot empty anyway?
