Cronus devices sit between the controller/mouse and the console/PC and inject modified inputs. Traditional anti-cheats struggle because the device appears as a legitimate controller. Javelin counters this by combining:
Platform-assisted hardware awareness (via Sony/Microsoft)
Behavioral/macro analysis of the actual inputs being received
Ongoing signal and pattern monitoring
This made Battlefield 6 one of the more effective titles at cracking down on Cronus users shortly after its October 2025 launch, according to widespread community reports.
Note: Detection is not always 100% instant or perfect. Some users claimed certain “safe” scripts avoided bans longer, while aggressive macros were caught quickly. EA continues refining these systems over time.
