will process lasso really get me banned?

i watched that video from jayztwocents several days ago and he said that people are getting banned for using project lasso. to the best of my knowledge, process lasso cannot be used to cheat in any way. people use it to control what ccd, on some amd cpu's, is used to run the game. i have a 7950x and even though it is not the 3d version, jayz said limiting the game to just one ccd could reduce latency. again, i don't think making the game run more optimally on my pc is considered cheating. and even more disturbing, jay said there is no way to appeal a ban even if it is unfairly applied. so, is what he said correct? is it true that process lasso and similar programs could get me banned from the game? is it also true there is no way to appeal an unfair or erroneous ban? i would really like to hear from an ea rep on this one please.

  • I don't know if people are getting banned, but if Jay said so, he must have seen some evidence.  Not appealable?  I think that is incorrect.  Maybe just real hard.

As for why: I don't think anyone cares if you legitimately are just trying to optimize your PC.  EA wouldn't be against it.  It's more likely that a known-cheat is actively exploiting a hook from.that program.  Cheat programs like to find existing programs with high-level access which have a vulnerability to allow their cheat that high level access while looking somewhat legitimate.  When that happens, anti-cheat has its hands pretty tied.  Same reason EVGA's precision program can cause a ban.

didn't know that about evga software. wow! glad i don't run it on the pc used for bf6 and thank u for the info! i would have been running it if evga had made a 40 series gpu. and i have never had to appeal a ban with javelin before but i did get unfairly vac banned from cod bo 3 a long time ago and they wouldn't remove a vac ban if jesus christ himself appeared to the developers and told them the ban was unfair. so i'm sure it is possible with javilin to have no appeals process.
