I've said this already elsewhere on another thread but I'll repeat it here for the sake of informing:
there were hardware issues plaguing certain XSX consoles. I had one such which would randomly go green-screen and then shutdown. It could happen anytime in an assortment of games. Some were fine, some were not. To me it happened some times with '2042'.
It was/is terribly difficult with Microsoft to deal with this promptly, i.e. they never issued a recall neither did they ever publicly acknowledge it. If not in the warranty it takes a ludicrous amount of effort to have it replaced.
Alethes the sad thing is even if people with crashing Xboxes sent them into Microsoft for repairs. Microsoft will say the consoles pass all their hardware tests and will ship the same console back to them.
Unless Microsoft runs a Battlefield 6 multiplayer test. Which I'm sure they don't.
These poor people are stuck with defective consoles and the only thing they can do is buy a new one. 🙁

@oskool_007 Much unfortunately so. It was a massively frustrating experience dealing/contacting Microsoft in this regard: the initial point of contact was deliberately disavowing it; only when I pushed forward unambiguously stating that I knew what was going on did he relent. Unbelievable the lengths some companies will go to to avoid accountability and a stain in their reputation.
One other person I know also had his console replaced by MS. Exactly as you said: this "new" console had the same problem. Guess what happened.
