I took my series X completely apart last night..... blew out the dust cleaned off the thermal paste off my CPU with alcohol....it was basically dried and melted all over the metal shroud attached to the heat sink... i reapplied new thermal paste. Then i removed a bunch of thermal putty and reapplied new kryonaut thermal putty....i put it on all the main chips around the CPU, left some of the old thermal putty on the smaller chips and took some of the stuff I took off other spots and put it on the spots with the old putty. It was still moist. I figured if it didnt work then I'd crack it back open and use the rest of the new stuff on the places where i left the factory putty. Cleaned all components with compressed air and stuff. Reassembled all boards into the right order in the stack.... thank God for youtube. Put all the screws back in and the various boards. Reattached power supply and strapped everything back down stuck it back in the case and plugged it in....i played BF6 for longer than i ever have since it was released. It seems to be putting off significantly more heat and it DID NOT brick or turn off. I had the HD packs not downloaded as well. Played probably 3 games of breakthrough with no issue. It was awesome. So stoked. Im hoping that i can get by and not have to open it back up to reapply the stuff in the place of the old putty but it worked. Felt smooth. If you're not confident in your technical skills id say dont attempt this.. it was not as easy as I thought cuz there is a metal shroud that has a bunch of sensitive components and small tiny tabs that hold it in place. Thats just half way. You gotta do it right and the stuff to fix it was over 100 bucks. So i would just take it to someone if you think you cant do it. They'll do it for you. Microcenter is a life saver. Im building a PC if this **bleep** happens and i cant fix it. Good luck.....ill keep you posted with updates to see if it holds up.

Same for me.
My Series X crashes randomly like it did during the beta. It's the only game that does this to my console...
This is unacceptable and we should not even think of repairing or changing our console to play the game!
Thank you to the developers and EA for taking this problem into account which goes far beyond other gameplay problems and others skins.PLEASE DO SOMETHING !!!

I was playing on the series s also purchased 2022 and my game hard crashed my Xbox. I just got off for the night next day my Xbox didn’t wanna turn on I would hit the button and it would light up and turn off instantly. Changed power cord and outlet and it worked fine for half hour then hard crashed again and now the Xbox won’t even turn on or anything.
