Please give console players a console-only crossplay option

Hello Battlefield team,

I would like to share something with you as a long-time Battlefield player.

Battlefield has been my favorite game for many years. I started playing with Battlefield 2, and since then I have played Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, Battlefield 2042, and now Battlefield 6.

I have always loved this franchise. I even stopped playing Counter-Strike because I became a huge Battlefield fan.

I was without a console for a while, but I wanted to play the new Battlefield so badly that I decided to get a console again. My wife bought Battlefield 6 for me as a gift because she knows how much I love this game.

Unfortunately, the issue with PC vs. console crossplay is something I have experienced for a long time, especially in Battlefield 2042. I eventually stopped playing 2042 because I found the matches against PC players extremely frustrating and unfair from the perspective of a console player.

I want to make it clear that I am not blaming PC players. I have played Battlefield on PC myself, and I know exactly how different it is. I actually play very well on PC. Keyboard and mouse allow for faster aiming, quicker movements and greater precision. The experience is simply very different from playing with a controller.

That is why I believe console players should have more options.

Modern consoles already support keyboards and mice, and many other games, including Call of Duty, allow players to use them on console. Battlefield currently does not give us that option.

I believe this could potentially be solved with a game update. There would not necessarily need to be any hardware change to the console. The game could simply receive an update adding official keyboard and mouse support, just like other games already do.

That would give players another choice if crossplay with PC cannot be removed.

Personally, my preferred solution would still be to allow console players to play against other console players. If the concern is that there may not be enough console players to fill matches, then perhaps PC players could be matched with PC players and console players with console players.

But if separating the platforms is not possible, please consider adding official keyboard and mouse support to consoles.

I am not asking for an advantage. I am asking for a fair choice.

I love Battlefield. I have played this franchise since Battlefield 2, and I even bought a console again specifically because I wanted to play the new Battlefield.

I really want to keep playing and enjoying this game. I just hope the Battlefield team will listen to the console community and give us better options regarding crossplay and input devices.
