How will EA know what users were affected by the EA app bug last friday

Question

I read the apology from EA and the message that there would be compensation for players affected by the EA app bug last friday. How does EA know what users were affected? Because I was unable to play on PC initially Friday evening (fortunately I also bought the game on Xbox so my son could also play). I should normally receive the compensation as well, yet nothing appeared in my in game mailbox until now.

So... how dows this work?

Same here, i had to refund the game from the EA App just like Mr. Zampella advised and bought it on PS5, still waiting for the compensation

The way I look at it (and yes, i'm a nobody) your pre-order gave you the right to play friday, it was part of what was promised with your pre-order. This in my opinion would mean you're among those who are affected.

You couldn't, so even if you didn't for whatever reason, your purchase and what was promised could never be met (because of EA-issues).

Asking a refund however sounds to me that you shot yourself in your feet.

I did not request a refund, I have 2 copies of the game.

well wasnt able to play also&nbsp; only was able to join 1 friend in 1 portal server thats it and yes also had the unable to play bug and havent received compensation either yet&nbsp;
