Dear EA Team, 

This Errorcode is now known for at least one month, as you can see here:

I am opening this discussion in the hope that the EA team will take notice of it more quickly.

What is the status regarding this unknown error 0:89001S:16C:-13561655840? The community has been left in the dark for over a month now. The irony is that I am receiving this error code, while my wife, on the same network, can play without any issues. I cannot even contact EA Support, although I can create a support ticket, it clearly never actually gets sent from the EA support website, as I never receive a confirmation email. The error-reporting tool within the EA app doesn’t work either, an error occurs while trying to report the error. How amusing... 

So, dear EA team, I paid full price, yet I cannot play the game due to an unknown bug that remains unfixed. In my view, this is a valid refundcase.

I hope to receive a response here so that the community can finally get some information.
