Are they expecting you to buy bf6 pro on multiple platforms?

I purchased Bf6 on PS5 and PC, then I got pro on the ps5 and for season 1 all my unlocks carry over giving me pro on my linked account. So I only had to buy pro once. For season 2 so far the pro is not carrying over cross platform. If this an intentional change or a bug? If EA is hoping that people will buy multiple versions of pro each season they have lost their minds.
