Assault Challenge 1 Spawn Beacon

My Challenge 1 for the Assault class says completed and that I have progressed to challenge 2. But the spawn  beacon is not available for me to select as a gadget, it acts as if it is still not yet unlocked. I can see the gadget is there it’s just greyed out. I am unable to progress on the challenge any further because challenge 2 requires the use of the spawn beacon and I am unable to access use of this item.
