Battlefield 6 Account Restricted - Platform Entitlement Bug?

• Which platform(s) do you own the base game on: PS5
• Which platform did you register REDSEC on: EA Play
• Which platform shows the “Account Restricted” message: EA Play
• Whether the other platform still works normally: Yes
• Roughly when you first saw the issue: Today, when first attempting to run REDSEC/EA Play

the REDSEC on the EA app is restricted, while REDSEC & base game is working on Steam

• Which platform(s) do you own the base game on: Steam
• Which platform did you register REDSEC on: Steam
• Which platform shows the “Account Restricted” message: EA App
• Whether the other platform still works normally: Yes
• Roughly when you first saw the issue:  13 Nov, first attempting to run REDSEC with EA App(I tried playing REDSEC through the EA App (I have an EA Play membership and was trying to get the Battlefield Coin discount).

• Which platform shows the “Account Restricted” message:  EA PC App
• Whether the other platform still works normally: Steam still works
• Roughly when you first saw the issue: Today

Not to copy and paste, but as someone else said previously,

• Which platform did you register REDSEC on: Xbox Series X
• Which platform shows the “Account Restricted” message: PC
• Whether the other platform still works normally- Works great on my Xbox and PS5 still. 
• Roughly when you first saw the issue: November 25, 2025

I wanted to try RedSec and the free play on PC to see the difference between platforms.

I’m in the exact same boat.

Good afternoon, I am currently experiencing this same issue.

I purchased Battlefield 6 on Xbox Gamertag: M3RK Mathias

Unable to play on Battlefield 6 Redsec through EA App. EA ID: Merkwin

UPDATE: Redsec works through Steam

Was literally playing the game last night streaming.It, and now i'm trying to log in tonight to play.And it's saying, my account has been restricted.I have zero strikes on my account.Nothing like no penalties.No marks, no nothing on my account in any way shape or form to get my account restricted for online access to battlefield six.I need help asap

Downloaded bf6 today on my pc after playing on my Xbox. Turned on my secure boot and everything for pc but when I launch bf6 it keeps saying my account is restricted(lets me play fine on my Xbox and I have no penalties on my account). This is clearly a problem on the EA end and I just want to play on my PC man. I downloaded it through the EA app. Here’s the error code I keep getting. Hope this helps and you guys can fix this ASAP. I get things happen but this is kind of ridiculous.

  • I own the game on PS5 and played RedSec once on PS5 as well as base game. was just trying to play RedSec on PC EA App after fixing SecureBoot not being on in my BIOS (flashed my BIOS to fix it)

  • registered it on PS5 weeks ago, and just tried on PC EA App today.
• Which platform shows the “Account Restricted” message
  • Only getting it on PC with RedSec
• Whether the other platform still works normally

  • Just got it today after updating my BIOS to be able to turn on SecureBoot
