Battlefield 6 Constant DirectX Crashes (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED / DEVICE_HUNG)

My system specs:
GPU: RTX 3070
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
RAM: 32 GB
OS: Windows 11
Storage: Game installed on SSD
Drivers: Multiple NVIDIA versions tested (clean installs via DDU)
Resizable BAR: Fully disabled (BIOS + GPU-Z confirmed)

I have been dealing with constant DirectX crashes in Battlefield 6 and I am completely out of ideas. The game crashes every 5–30 minutes with errors like DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED, DEVICE_HUNG or sometimes with no message at all. Every other game on my PC runs perfectly, including demanding titles like COD BO6 which work for hours without any issues. Battlefield 6 is the only game that crashes.

Here is everything I have already tried:

I removed all NVIDIA drivers using DDU in Safe Mode. I installed multiple different drivers (new, old, recommended, stable). I installed the driver in “driver only mode” with PhysX, without the NVIDIA App or GeForce Experience. I reset my GPU to complete stock settings (no overclock, no undervolt, no curve changes). I even tested underclocking down to 1600 MHz but the crashes got worse. I monitored my PSU voltages with HWiNFO and MSI Afterburner and everything looks stable. All other games are completely stable under full load.

I checked everything related to Resizable BAR. It is fully disabled in BIOS and GPU-Z confirms it with BAR1 = 256 MB. Above 4G Decoding is disabled and the BIOS matches what GPU-Z reports.

I turned off every possible overlay: NVIDIA overlay, Steam overlay, Discord overlay, EA overlay, Xbox Game Bar, Windows Game Mode. I fully closed RTSS and disabled MSI Afterburner OSD.

For Battlefield 6 specifically I have reinstalled the game multiple times, verified the files, moved the game to an SSD properly, reset all graphics settings, disabled Frame Generation, DLSS/FSR, Ray Reconstruction and V-Sync. I tested Borderless and Fullscreen, lowered textures and even tested default operators and appearances.

On Windows side I checked Event Viewer, disabled background recording, tested clean boot mode, updated Windows and BIOS and removed unnecessary startup apps.

After all of this the game still crashes every session and only Battlefield 6 does this. It feels like a BF6-specific bug affecting some RTX 30-series users or possibly a Frostbite memory issue.

I am honestly running out of hope. If anyone has found a real solution beyond the usual fixes, or if the developers are aware of this problem, I would really appreciate any advice. I just want to play the game without crashing every 5–30 minutes.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Dude. R U N. Take the refund. it is absolutly pointless to hope that they fix it. Get youre money back and wait. They know this problem since the beta and do nothing (they say they do but hey they dont even mention this thing in their Known Issues Thread) So get youre mone back and check this thread from time to time  (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED or DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG | EA Forums - 12737991). And dont wait and try these "Tips" that are floating around
