It's happening on console also. My game crashes often, it had even completely shut my system down.

This is so frustrating. My game used to crash now and then, maybe once per session. This weekend, it's been completely unplayable. Haven't finished a single match since Friday. And i've tried loads, since its 2x xp weekend... Have tried every solution i've found online and nothing works. I might be calling quits at this point.. I'm running 5080 if that makes any difference..

I got the same direct X error after the update and now the Directx error doesn't come up but I can't play longer than maybe 10 minutes before it crashes. Had zero issues until the recent patch.

It's just EA being EA. They don't care about the quality or usability of their games. So long as as it's just barely functional enough to sell without getting them into legal trouble, they'll push it out to extract money from gamers. That's all it boils down to. "Can we make money off it?"
I've got a good system, and all the games I own run buttery smooth without crashes. Except this one alone. None of the others I own require changing bios/system/clock settings, because they were developed properly. Yet EA push out this garbage and try to convince you that it's your fault and not theirs that the game doesn't work. That YOU have to change YOUR system/settings to get it to work, like that's the problem, and not their shady predatory business practices.
EA are known for pushing broken games out the door before they are ready because "hey, we can still make money off this broken game by exploiting the good will of the fandom". They even got into trouble for it before iirc. Yet despite that, every subsequent release seems to just get worse and worse. Like less and less effort is put into quality control and is instead put into marketing or additional content to extract more money from the fanbase.
In short, they dont care if the game is playable, they just care about doing as little as possible to make as much as possible, that's it.
I gave up on EA/battlefield after BF4, having played since the BF2 days. After BF4, I could see they were just getting worse as time went on. Family bought me later BF games because they always knew me as a major BF fan, but I barely played em. I actually put up my own money for BF6 because it looked like they might be doing right by the fanbase, and then I find this is what they defecated into my hands after I handed over my money. I figured "no no, give em a chance, maybe they'll prove themselves and fix it to recover their reputation." So I didn't refund the game. Fast forward to today, and the game is just as broken and buggy as when i bought it. So I'm officially done with EA/battlefield now. Unless they pull some No Mans Sky type of comeback with this game, they are never getting a single penny from me again. I'll stick to the smaller and upcoming developers who actually give a crap.
