Hi all,
I had a suspicion this could be tied to that nasty windows 11 January update as I heard it was closing apps, etc. the update was KB5074109. I saw there was an emergency update and tri d it with same issues. As I couldn't see KB5074109 in the uninstall updates I chose a restore point before it was installed. Then I paused Windows updates for 5 weeks.
Loaded the game and no more crashing. Beware, if you do the restore, it still shows the update installed in the history, but it is in fact uninstalled...it seems weird the history wouldn't go back in restore but it worked. I verified this with the wusa /uninstall /kb:5074109 and it said it wasn't installed. I wish I found that command line before I did the restore!
