BF6 Crashing Whole PC - When Entering Game

Hello Everyone,

First-time poster here, and I'm dealing with a critical issue I desperately need help solving.

When I try to play BF6, my entire PC hard crashes and bricks itself (requiring a full power-off/on cycle) right as I load a match or immediately after deploying.

I can access the main menu, adjust settings, and use the firing range perfectly fine. The crash only happens when loading into a match (whether with bots or players).

The Critical Problem:
The PC either crashes before leaving the loading screen or a few seconds after I have deployed.
Crucially: This crash completely locks up the PC, forcing a hard turn off with the power button.

What I've Tried So Far (Issues Persist):
Disabled [Screen Space AO and GI] (as suggested on this forum).
Set virtual memory (min/max) to 30,000 Mb.
Disabled the RAM's XMP profile, reducing speed from 3200MT/s to 2133MT/s.

Key System Monitoring Notes:
I have 32GB DDR4 RAM. Usage never exceeds ≈18.3GB when the crash occurs.
GPU drivers are the most up-to-date from AMD.
I have attached an image of Task Manager from the exact moment of the crash (while deploying).

My PC Specs:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor
GPU - AMD Radeon RX 9070
MoBo - ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II
RAM - 32GB = Corsair Vengeance LPX 4x8GB DDR4

Has anyone else experienced a crash that completely bricks their entire PC like this?

Any new fix suggestions would be hugely appreciated!

Happening to me to, on PC with Ryzen 7 5800x3d and RX 7900xtx. The first two hours was fine.

I tried everything I found in internet to fix it, but I can't play anymore, the game keep crashing and my pc reboot every time I start a match (after the game crash).

Game is crashing whole PC for me during matches, varying from 10 to couple hours playtime. PC will freeze, and even power button won't work, have to  turn off the power from the PSU. AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D. Up to date drivers, added exemptions to anti-virus, switched off overlays, changed to bordless/fullscreen/window. Nothing has seemed to work yet.

  • I fixed my RTX4080 PC crashing. Motherboard firmware was really old...

I also updated my BIOS on my motherboard  B650 Aorus PRO AX, and it seems to have fixed the crash. Firmware was 2023 before update.

Same here. .. BIOS update and → In my case: ASUS Prime Z790-P (FW from Feb 2023 → Nov 2024)
This fixed DDR5 stability and GPU power-spike handling.

    I tried :
    - update bios
    - update chipset
    - get beta AMD driver with battlefield 6 support
    - reinstall the game (twice)
    - modify virtual memory
    - disable xpm/expo/docp, and SAM
    - add javelin and BF6 exe as exclusion in my anti virus

    Nothing worked.

But, when I set compatibility mode to Windows 8 and administrator rights to both exe (bf6 and javelin). The game properly works now without any crashes.
My settings has been reset, so no FSR enabled, etc. Just basic settings on graphical side, I juste lower a lot of things.
I don't now if it is FSR or the fact that I had a lot of FPS, or the administrator rights or windows 8 compatibility, but my game now runs smoothly and without crashing, it is enough for now.

    Hope it will help someone.

I posted above that updating BIOS fixed it for me, but today I was again getting a lot of pc crashes. I tried setting both bf6 and javelin to run as admin, immediate crashes. Changed it to windows 8 compatability, and no crashes in last few hours.
