Hello friend!
Penguin is sorry to hear your Battlefield 6 game is crashing after long play sessions, that's not nice.
Since crashes happen after 1-3 hours, Penguin suspects possible heat buildup.
1 Temperature check:
Download software named HWMonitor in order to ensure your system hasn't started overheating.
Suggested software to check temperature = HWMonitor
Official link
👉HWMONITOR | Softwares | CPUID
You should watch:
CPU temperatures
GPU temperatures
It is a good idea to ensure game crashes is not due to overheating before doing any other system changes.
2:
Press Windows Button + X, select event viewer, and see if you find any Windows Errors or Warnings from around the time of game crashing.
Should look something like this, Event viewer:
Additionally, it can be a good idea to check location:
Documents, Battlefield 6, crash_dumps
If any exists around of the time of the game crashing the errors and crashdumps might cast light on what troubleshooting steps might be necessary or not.
4 Quick extra check:
1:Update GPU drivers, Penguin recommend Clean install. (Run DDU software to uninstall)
2:Verify game files through Steam or EA App
3:Disable Overlays, like Discord, Geforce overlay.
Only if the above don't solve it, Penguin would: 👇
4: Run Memtest diagnosis to test memory stability.
Questions:
Did the crashes start worsening since the last update, or have you experienced crashes consistently since 30.1.26?
Does other games sometimes crash as well or is this issue limited to Battlefield 6 only?
Penguin can assist further once we know more! 😀
Big Fan Of Battlefield!
Many thanks
Penguin
Same thing, latest update.
Would just randomly crash constantly.
Also, people shouldn't have to underclock when every other game out there doesn't need it. What is this game doing to hardware that other games aren't??? I underclocked and it still did it, but I know what I'm doing, you literally need to agree to a disclaimer to use clocking features for some vendors, so its not a good suggestion.
For OP
Try going in to your game folder, then into the javlin anticheat folder. Run javlin, from the drop down list select BF6 and press the update button. This worked for me.
